With nearly a decade of experience in the construction industry, Jake Smith brings a unique perspective shaped by both the owner and contractor sides of the business. Half of his career has been spent serving as an Owner’s Representative, overseeing projects from the development phase through completion, while the other half has been dedicated to project management with a large General Contractor. This experience has equipped him with expertise in budget management, contract negotiation, scheduling, construction oversight, zoning and permitting, project closeout, and owner handoff.

Jake founded Armor Consulting to help owners navigate the construction process with confidence, transparency, and integrity. Armor’s goal is to protect clients’ interests while delivering successful projects that align with their vision, schedule, and budget.

Outside of work, Jake enjoys spending time with his wife, Baileigh, and their two boys. Whether tackling DIY projects, woodworking in the shop, or working in the yard, Jake enjoys building and creating. Above all, Jake’s faith in Jesus Christ is the foundation of his life. Jake’s relationship with Christ guides both Jake’s personal life and professional approach, shaping the values of honesty, stewardship, service, and excellence that he strives to bring to every project.
